2022 Shaping Up Well For Hall&Co

We are back, after a much needed winter break… and what a brilliant start to the year we are having.

With a re vamp in our head office underway, out with the old in with the new we are ready to attack 2022. A checklist is certainly a necessity here at Hall&Co, ensuring we are quickly and efficiently making our way through the jobs at hand.

Before the festive break we gave you the good news of approved planning on our Stockport scheme and since then we have been putting together a timeframe to begin demolition of the current site. Hard hats at the ready!

Covid19 has most certainly had an impact on our industry, with delays in planning, materials and price increases to name a few, it has been a small battle but nevertheless we have made it out of the other side. Almost 18 months after submitting planning for our rural Cheshire based development, we have received positive feedback (Hurray!) And perhaps with just 6months to go until we pop the champers on another ‘approval’.

Curtis Farm is the planned redevelopment of the popular Flora Garden Centre in Henbury, Cheshire. The properties have been thoughtfully designed and will be perfectly crafted alongside Farmfolk, a new eatery, farm shop and co-working space just minutes from Alderley Edge & Macclesfield. Curtis Farm will be a beautiful scheme of bespoke homes set around a manicured village green. With a mix of Luxurious 1, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties there is certainly something for everyone. Keep your eyes peeled.

Just a few miles down the road from Curtis Farm, you may see us pop up again. A site that Macclesfield locals know very well has big plans for re development and of course we needed to be involved. To be continued…

Christmas Cheer As The Underbanks Is Approved – Bring On 2022!

Hello December, Christmas has definitely come early for us here at Hall & Co, we are delighted to announce we have finally had planning approved on our project at Stockport Underbanks. It has been a long slog (lots of coffee, late nights, heated discussions). Three years in the making but we did it.

For those of you that don’t know already, our plans include a mixture of 86 modern apartments and flexible workspaces (sister to our current co- working space ‘PROFOLK’.) Four sites of contemporary living and working carefully developed to enhance the character of a rapidly changing area. How exciting!!

The Underbanks area of the town centre is currently undergoing significant investment from Stockport Council to improve the public realm and being involved in the regeneration means a great deal to us. Having lived on the outskirts of Stockport for many years we have witnessed the downfall of the area and cannot wait to get our hands on it.

It’s home to an eclectic mix of independents and has a lot of historical significance, which has made it a popular destination. The sites we’ll be redeveloping are all under-used and in need of extensive redevelopment – the works will improve the area aesthetically while helping to encourage footfall. We are hoping to create a strong knit community and look forward to meeting all our new neighbours.

Time to wrap up 2021 folks, we’ve had some ups and downs along the way but we cannot wait for 2022. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas, eat, drink, be merry, from all the team here at Hall & Co.

Introducing “The Residence” – luxury living in Alderley Edge

February ended on a high in the Hall & Co offices after our team received the go-ahead from planners for our newest residential scheme in Alderley Edge, “The Residence”.

Set to be built on the site of the former County Hotel, The Residence will comprise 22 luxury apartments, along with four beautiful townhouses, complete with winter gardens, outdoor terraces, communal gardens and secure underground parking.

Designed by award-winning architectural practice, Ollier Smurthwaite, The Residence will incorporate stylistic cues from existing properties surrounding the new development. The design plays homage to the grand villas erected by the wealthy merchants and industrialists of the nineteenth century.

Matt Ollier, MD of Ollier Smurthwaite, said: “The site offered a unique opportunity to create a landmark scheme; one of a kind Victorian elegance reimagined with generous room proportions, tall ceilings, and bespoke, beautifully crafted interiors, using the finest materials and all sitting in immaculately manicured landscaped gardens.”

 “We’ve created a fantastic scheme that provides high quality, beautifully designed housing of a standard long associated with Alderley Edge.”
