Things We Love About Macclesfield

With our development well under way we decided to check out the local area. From picturesque sights, to trendy eateries, we knew we were in for a treat.

Impressed would be an understatement, there is absolutely something for everyone.

First off we put our walking boots on and headed for a ramble, Teggs Nose was truly delightful, blue skies and acres of greenery, followed closely by Macclesfield Forrest, another spot to walk the dogs or take a Sunday stroll. Be sure to work up an appetite as Macc has plenty to offer. We checked out Suburban Green for its delicious small plates, it’s great to share. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff super friendly, shout out to Jez and Kieran. We stumbled into the Picturedrome for a quick coffee, what a place!! Macclesfields old movie theatre, now full of a choice of eateries, from wood fire pizza to Middle Eastern mezzes. Oh and kids corner, let them play while you eat. Furry friends welcome also.

For those with a love of football, Macclesfield is home to its very own football club, recently refurbished with a swanky bar and many more amenities.

Should you find yourself wanting to visit Macc, be sure to come on market day, Treacle Market is held on the last Sunday of every month, where you will find local business displaying and selling their talents, many artisan delights and lots of entertainment for the family.  Held in the centre of town you are also a stones throw from all local shops and cafes.

The list is endless, we can’t wait to go back. Locals also have the luxury of a central train station, just 20 mins to Manchester City centre and 2 hours to London Euston, great for those who need to commute. They are also spoilt for schools in the area, primary and secondary, including Fallibroome Academy and Kings School Macclesfield.

Roll on Kings Row, a development of 10 terraced houses, 3 bedrooms with a dedicated home office and open plan living. Email us on sales@hallcoproperty.co.uk for more info!
