PROFOLK is located inside grade 2 listed building Bank Chambers in the very heart of Stockport Old Town. Bank Chambers was built in 1868 as the Bank of Stockport. The building remained a bank until the mid-90s when it was redeveloped as a bar. After closing its doors for the final time in 2015, Bank Chambers lay empty until work started in December 2018.
Stockport’s shortage of true collaborative workspace led to the development of PROFOLK, a brand developed to satisfy the workspace appetite for creative and technology led companies and freelancers in and around Stockport and South Manchester.
